On this page you'll find information about:-
What better way to explore the Orlando area than by gliding through the skies, smoothly and silently as you take in the views? Orlando balloon rides offer excitement and adventure of a different kind, away from the crowds and busy resort areas.
Hot air ballooning is one the great Orlando activities that the whole family can enjoy. If you're going to be celebrating a special event (birthday/anniversary etc) you can even have a special day arranged for you!
Orlando activities don't get much more thrilling than this! You can sky dive with no previous experience necessary. A tandem sky dive is the best way to do your first jump. The Florida Skydiving Center at Lake Wales offers tandem dives for around $179/person including all equipment and instruction.
The Lakes Wales center is located approximately 20 miles south-west of Orlando near Winter Haven.
The Florida Skydiving Center is also popular among more experienced sky divers. If you're interested in taking lessons or getting your AFF certification - this is the place to go.
Sky Ventures Orlando
This is one of the few indoor sky diving simulation centers in the USA. It is essentially a wind tunnel in which you can fly on the rush of wind (125mph) that simulates what a real sky dive would be like.
It's great if you're considering a real plane jump......and it costs a lot less too! There are professional sky divers on hand to train you and guide you once you're inside the wind tunnel.
The Sky Venture center is located near downtown Orlando. For further info and to watch a video of a Sky Ventures experience see click the link below.
This is a truely unique chance to scuba dive inside the Living Seas Aquarium exhibit at the Epcot center. (You must have a valid certification card to participate). You'll get to explore the tropical sea life unlike most visitors ever will! The Dive Quest tour lasts around 3 hours in total, with at least 40 minutes dive time to yourself. The tour also includes behind the scenes tours and all equipment, food and refreshments.
Why not try a day at the Aiguille indoor rock climbing center? It's located north of Orlando at Longwood and is the largest indoor climbing center in the area.
You don't need any experience to begin climbing and new climbers are welcomed on a walk-in basis. You can even rent the equipment that you'll need.
This is a great way to explore central Florida wildlife and scenery. Hop on a boat tour and discover the beautiful Florida wildlife up close, including alligators, vultures, herons, turtles and maybe even bald eagles!
Air boat rides are so very Florida! Why not try an air boat tour early in the morning to see the wildlife when it's most active?
There are many tours in the area, click here for more information about Orlando boat tours.
Gatorland is a great alternative to the crowds and expenses of the major Orlando theme parks. This 110 acre wildlife sanctuary is home to hundreds of gator and crocodiles as well as thousands of nesting birds.
It's a good day out for families with kids as there are multiple shows performed throughout the day by Gatorland's resident Gator Wranglers.
