Disney's Magical Express

If you are staying at any of the Disney World Resort hotels, you can take the FREE Disney Magical Express shuttle to and from Orlando Airport. The Magical express service is operated by Mears Transportation. Using Magical Express can save you money on arranging a round trip shuttle to Orlando Airport.

How Does It Work?

When you make your reservation, be sure to book Magical Express. You can add Magical Express up to 10 days after making your reservation.

Two Weeks before departure you will receive special luggage tags in the mail. Attach these to all your checked luggage. Once at your home airport, check in the bags as usual. Upon arrival in Orlando, your luggage will be separately loaded onto a van and taken directly to your Disney World Resort hotel room.

Once you arrive at Orlando Airport, you will clear customs and then proceed to a special Mears check-in desk in Terminal B Level 1. You will then be assigned a shuttle bus and shortly be on your way to the resort hotel.
 
Guests arriving from within the US can take advantage of the luggage delivery service. If you are arriving from outside the US, you will have to walk through customs with your bags. After clearing customs you can drop off the bags with a Disney rep who will ensure that your bags get transported to your resort hotel.

Upon arrival in Orlando you will be assigned a return journey time. Take note of this time because this is the only time you can take the return bus journey. If you are late or miss this you will have to arrange other means of transport to the airport.

The Magical Express shuttle is only for Disney Resort Hotels, resorts NOT included are the Disney Swan and Dolphin Resorts, Shades of Green Resort and the seven Downtown Disney hotels (Regal Sun, Holiday Inn in WDW, Buena Vista Palace, Royal Plaza in WDW, Hilton in WDW, DoubleTree Guest Suites in WDW and Best Western Lake Buena Vista).

Paid Shuttles to Disney World

If you are staying in one of the other resort hotels not served by Disney's Magical Express, or you would prefer to arrange your own transportation there are many options available.

The difference between a shuttle service and using a taxi is that shuttle services charge per person travelling. Because shuttles buses are shared with other travellers they need to know exactly how many people there are. Most companies charge different prices for adults and children (4-11). Children 3 and under usually travel free. Booking a round trip will get you better rates than booking a one way trip.

Do bear in mind that a shared shuttle will take much longer than a direct door to door service. Allow 90 minutes from arriving in Orlando to reaching your hotel.
