There's everything from the quaint island style of Key West, to
historical St Augustine, to the Cypress
swamps and wetlands of the Everglades (complete with real alligators
and turtles!) A man from Gatorland visits three times per week to feed
the alligators and give special talks about the wildife inside the
Everglades atrium.

The Gaylord Palms even has it's own ship! The 60ft SS Gaylord
is home to
Sunset Sam's Fish Camp, a casual dining restaurant serving Floridian
and caribbean dishes in a laid lack tropical atmosphere. The restaurant
opens daily for lunch, dinner and late night drinks until midnight.
This stunning Orlando hotel has a selection of great bars and
restaurants on-site inlcuding:-
- Sora - a Japanese sushi restaurant. Opens for lunch, dinner
daily. The bar is open from 11.30am until midnight.
- Old Hickory Steakhouse - serving classic American steak
dishes set deep in the Everglades of 1855.
- H2O Sports Bar & Grille - a South Beach style
poolside bar serving American style snacks and cocktails.
- Villa De Flora - a Mediterranean style restaurant and
market serving fresh dishes from Itlay, Spain, Greece and France. Open
for breakfast lunch and dinner.
- Auggie's Jammin' Bar - if you enjoy live music, Auggie's is
the place to come in the evening. Opens 7pm-1.30am with a
variety of live music acts throughout the week.
- Java Coast - opens 24 hours for fresh coffee, pastries,
salads and desserts. It also serves beer and wine.
- Haagen Dazs Ice Cream Shoppe - for a refreshing snack, stop
by the Haagen Dazs shoppe for an ice cream, frozen yoghurt or sorbet.

The Gaylord
Palms has four different swimming pools to choose from.
The two largest pools are the Clearwater Cove area for all
the family and the South Beach Pool for adults only.
Clearwater Cove has a zero entry pool area with many fun
filled water activities dotted around the edge. Kids will delight in
the giant Octopus waterslide and water jets and waterfalls. There are
special play areas for tots too, with minature slides and interactive
play areas.

The South Beach Pool offers an adults-only retreat from the noise and
excitement of the family pools. The South Beach pool is styled like an
art-deco Miami Beach pool and bar. You can enjoy
large cocktails and snacks served from the poolside H2O Bar
and Grille. This pool is open to 18s and over.
Kids Sitting Service
The Kids Nite Out child sitting service can be arranged if you want to
enjoy a night out or attend an important meeting without the kids in
tow. This in-room child sitting service uses only fully insured and
certified child minders hired by the Gaylord Palms hotel. Child minders
will bring along a variety of age appropriate games and toys to make
the experience memorable for kids too!

- Canyon Ranch SpaClub Fitness Center - the use of the
fitness suite is included in the $15/day resort fee. All spa treatments
are extra.

Gaylord Palms Orlando Rooms
There are 3 themed room types to choose from: Key West, St Augustine
and Everglades. Each one is styled and furnished to reflect the theme.
There are atrium views and non-atrium views available. Atrium views do
cost more than non-atrium views. It's up to you whether a view over the
artrium is worth the extra cost.
All rooms come with a safe, refrigerator, ceiling fan, desk and chair,
TV
with pay per view movies, internet access, bedside alarm clock, coffee
maker, iron and ironing board.
Bathrooms have full length mirrors, double sinks, granite counter tops,
hairdryer and magnified shaving/make up mirrors. King rooms have walk
in
shower, queen rooms have a bath tub and shower.

The Gaylord Palms Orlando is perfectly placed close to all the
attractions and theme parks. It's practically on the doorstep of
Disney's Maingate (1.5 miles) and 15 minutes to SeaWorld, Universal
Studios theme parks, Discovery Cove and Wet n Wild water parks. It's 20
miutes drive to Orlando International Airport (MCO).
The Gaylord Palms offers free shuttle service to the Disney theme parks
- a great hassle free way to visit the Disney parks and avoid having to
use a car and pay for parking. There are also paid shuttle services to
SeaWorld and
Universal Studios. The cost is approximately $16 per person. You can
make reservations for this shuttle service at the check in desk.
Parking
is $12 per day or $20 for valet parking. Please note there is a resort
fee of $15 per day which is always extra to the cost of the room. This
resort fee includes use of the hotel pools, fitness suite, internet
access, local phone calls and shuttle service to the Disney theme parks.
