Disney World Parking
A guide to
Disney World
parking - Disney parking is different depending
on what you are planning to do and whether you are staying on-property
or off-property. It might seem daunting to think about driving from
park to park, but it's probably more convenient than relying on the
Disney
shuttle buses.
At peak times the lines of people waiting for a bus become long. It's a
hassle wasting time waiting; kids and parents get irritable and in
summer temperatures can reach into the 90s (F) and humidity will make
it seem like over 100F.
Taking your own vehicle or rental car to the attractions will be
quicker. You can arrive and leave the parks at
your convenience
and you won't have to wait on shuttle services.
Disney World Parking at
Disney World Theme Parks
The 4 main Disney theme parks are:-
Magic Kingdom
EPCOT
Center
Disney
Hollywood Studios
Animal Kingdom
They have HUGE parking lots! Luckily you'll
find that Epcot Center, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom lots are
right in front of the park gates. Magic Kingdom parking is located
further away at the Ticket and Transportation Center. From there you
can take the monorail or ferry boat to the Magic Kingdom.
Parking is FREE for guests of the
Walt Disney World Resorts and Swan
& Dolphin Resorts. You will receive a Disney World parking pass
which will allow easy access to the theme parks and other Disney resort
areas. (Guests at the Disney Swan & Dolphin Resorts must show
their room key at the parking tolls booths to enter the parking lots
for free).
Parking fees for the 4 Disney theme parks:-
$14 per day for cars, motorbikes, taxis
$15 per day for camper vans, trailers
$18 per day for buses
Credit cards and cash are accepted.
If you are going to visit more than one theme park per day, save your
parking receipt and you won't have to pay for parking again at your
next theme park.
As
the lots at these theme parks are so HUGE; Disney provides trams to
help ferry guests to the main gates faster. This is a big help,
especially during busy times when the car parks get full and you end up
parked 1/2 mile away!
Disney World Parking -
Pass Holders
Parking is FREE if you are staying at one of the Walt Disney World
Resorts and if you are an Annual Pass Holder or Annual Premium
Pass Holder.
Walt Disney World Resort
Hotel Parking
One of the many advantages of staying "with the mouse" in one of the
Walt
Disney World Resorts
is that parking is FREE at your resort hotel. Valet parking is also
available at the Deluxe Disney Resorts for a fee (around $12) and
tipping is still expected.
Downtown Disney Orlando
