Goodbye Club Paris Orlando
Club Paris Orlando was a night club partly owned and styled by the
heiress herself. This was one of a chain of 'Club Paris' that opened in
other cities too (like Jacksonville and Las Vegas).
It opened on New Year's Eve 2004.
Paris Hilton and club entrepreneur Fred Khalilian went into
partnership to launch these nightclubs.
He planned to open up a string
of night clubs around the US and even around the world, each one would
bear the 'Paris' name. Each club was called 'Club Paris'.
In Orlando the nightclub was located in the popular downtown district
of Church Street. It promised regular appearances by the
heiress herself. However, even from day one, it seemed that problems
were afoot. Relations between Paris and 'Fred' faltered. She did not
show up for the opening night and also didn't show up to other special
events planned by Fred's company.
Club Paris closed in August 2007 after a rocky few years.
Since then Club Dolce took it's place and brought a totally
different vibe and theme to the former Club Paris.
Dolce nightclub ditched the hip hop, and sparkly pink decor in
favor of something a little more sophisticated. Dolce was an Italian
themed mega nightclub, with 22,000sq ft of space!
However, in January 2008 that closed too after just 6 weeks!
