Best Times to visit Disney World Theme Parks


Seasons - the busiest months for visiting are April, June, July and August this is when most American and European school children are on their summer holidays. April is often busy because of US Spring Break for college students.

December, January and February are the least busy months.

Best weather - do take into account the weather for the time of year when you visit. Summer months from May-September are hot and humid with daily rain showers and even thunderstorms. The winter months October - April are much less humid and dry. Check our Weather in Orlando page for more details.

Disney World Theme Parks: Disney's Magic Kingdom


This is the most visited Disney theme park. Without a doubt the Magic Kingdom is the ultimate theme park, with which no visit to Orlando would be complete without! The park comprises of five main districts that are themed around some of the most famous Disney characters and movies. These five districts meet at Main St USA and at the foot of the iconic Cinderella’s castle.

Look out for all your favorite Toon Town characters like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Daffy. You will also meet many other Disney favorites such as Ariel, Cinderella, Buzz Lightyear and Jungle Book characters.

Disney World Theme Parks: Disney World Animal Kingdom


Animal Kingdom has more of an educational focus than traditional thrills and spills theme park. Disney's aim is to educate visitors on environmental preservation and animal conservation. The park itself is beautiful, with the pinnacle of the park being the 145ft tall Tree Of Life at the center. There is also a recreation of Mount Everest which is home one of the best new Disney World attractions, Expedition Everest!


By far the largest of the all the Disney World theme parks, Animal Kingdom has some 1700 animals in its 500 acres of land! Take a jeep safari tour and you'll see rhinos, zebras, giraffes and lots more African wildlife. Or take a guided walk through 'Asia' and see bats, komodo dragons, tapirs and tigers up close!

Disney World Theme Parks: Epcot


Epcot comprises of two distinct 'worlds', Futureland and World Showcase. Future World has exhibits and hands-on interactive activities around space exploration, ocean life, health, our land and environment and communication. This is great for kids as its educational as well as a lot of fun!

The World Showcase is centered on a reflective lagoon and it features recreations of 11 different countries including Norway, England, Mexico and Japan. Here you can take a leisurely stroll through each country and take in the architecture and meet cast members from each one.
